Retail Sales Manager - FT - Coralville, IA


Reports To: Regional Sales Manager
Department/Location: Sales and Marketing / Coralville, IA
Salary: DOE / Exempt

Summary: Responsibilities to include development and performance of retail sales team at specified location(s) including supervising retail location(s). Additional duties to include individual sales performance as outlined in compensation plan.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities: Attain monthly sales/activation expectations of location(s). Supervision may include multiple corporate retail locations.

  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times and support all i wireless company policies and procedures.
  • Be able to work flexible shifts and be responsible for covering all retail shifts.Maintain a well-kept, attractive retail store at all times.Make sure that wireless consultants comply with all i wireless policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and training of all departmental staff, including Sales, VeriSign and Tango training. Provide direction, motivation, and assistance to staff both on and off the sales floor using specific tools provided. Conduct performance reviews on a regular basis. Provide ongoing feedback for improvement and take appropriate and timely disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Attend scheduled sales meeting with retail sales manager and/or training meetings.
  • Assist retail manager with coordinating marketing and public relations events including radio remotes, advertising and collateral with marketing department and ensure that the scheduled events are adequately staffed
  • Handle escalated customer situations and follow up in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support fellow employees in retail location.
  • Distribute schedules on a timely basis. Review timesheets and make sure they are signed and forwarded to Human Resources in a timely manner.
  • Review activation logs for accuracy.
  • Control inventory shrinkage at store location(s) and ensure that all inventory processes are accurately completed.
  • Communicate with Finance department to ensure accuracy in cash register transactions, daily close out and money handling. Assist Finance in resolving any store discrepancies in a timely manner

  • Education, Certification and/or Training Qualifications:

    • High school diploma.
    • Must have demonstrated supervisory skills and 2-3 years success in sales or sales management, preferably in telecommunications.
    • Strong self-motivation with a driving desire for success.
    • Proven attendance and dependability.
    • Ability/desire to learn quickly.
    • Ability to maintain composure while completing variety of tasks and working with multiple customers in a fast-paced retail environment.
    • Excellent organizational, leadership, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong computer skills and extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Must be flexible and be able to adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to work independently
    • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
